Lleverage vs Workato: integration recipes or back-office agents
An enterprise platform your own team builds recipes on, next to AI agents our engineers put to work in your ERP.
“It’s a matter of building trust in the organisation with these kinds of initiatives. You can’t just throw something like this over the fence.”

Workato vs Lleverage, side by side
We read Workato's own pages on 20 October 2026: the enterprise iPaaS page, Agent Studio, RPA, the AI Control Plane, the IDP by Workato documentation, the AI by Workato actions and the list of pre-built connectors. The Lleverage column covers our automation platform and our order management solution.
| Capability | ||
|---|---|---|
| What it covers | The order desk, finance and customer service of companies that make, move and sell physical products | Applications, data, APIs, workflows and agents, in every department of the enterprise |
| Ready-made connectorsTo move records between systems | ERPs, mail, chat and service desks, connected by our engineers during delivery | Over 1,000 connectors in three categories, pre-built, universal and community |
| Who builds it and keeps it running | Forward deployed engineers build the first queue with your team and stay on as your products and customers change | Your IT and business teams, in the low-code recipe editor |
| Orders from customers abroadThe language your customers write in | At Xpol the agent processes orders for French, Swiss and Dutch retailers | IDP lists invoices and receipts in English, Chinese, Japanese and Korean, and the AI by Workato connector has Translate text and Parse text actions you call from a recipe |
| A customer's own order sheetTheir columns, in their order, in Excel | The sheet is read on what its columns mean, so there is no template to maintain per customer | The Excel and CSV connectors read the rows and you map each customer's columns in the recipe; IDP accepts PDF, PNG, JPG, WebP and GIF files |
| Creates the sales order in the ERPAfter every line is checked | Customer, article, contract price and stock checked first, then the order created and confirmed | IDP extracts the purchase order data, and the recipe you build maps it into the ERP connector |
| ERPs in its own list | SAP, Business Central, Dynamics 365, Navision, Infor, Exact, AFAS, Epicor, Ridder iQ, IBM AS/400, Oracle and NetSuite | SAP RFC, SAP OData, SAP Business One, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Dynamics 365 Business Central, Oracle, Oracle E-Business Suite, Oracle Fusion Cloud and NetSuite; Exact, AFAS and Ridder iQ are not in the pre-built list |
| Screens with no APIThe AS/400, the portal with only a login | The agent works the screen with the access a person has | RPA records the screen or runs a Python or C# script, called from a recipe |
| A confidence score on what was readAnd a line the work waits behind | A score per field, and below your line the work waits for a person | A score from 0 to 1 per extracted value, though not in every IDP model version |
| Who may use the document stepOnce it is switched on | Roles and scopes per connection, with every run on the record | IDP by Workato has no granular permission settings, so every collaborator in the workspace can use it |
| Governing other vendors' models and agentsOne catalogue, one set of guardrails | Thresholds, approvals and an audit trail for its own agents | The AI Control Plane holds one catalogue of every model, agent and tool, with policy, identity and spend controls |
When each one fits
Workato connects the systems you already have. Lleverage puts an agent on the desk where the documents land.
When Workato fits
- Every department needs its applications connected, and you want one platform and one catalogue under all of it.
- Your IT team or an implementation partner owns the recipes and wants somewhere to build anything.
- What you move is already structured: records between cloud applications, on a trigger or a schedule.
- Models, agents and APIs from several vendors need one place where policy, identity and spend are set.
When Lleverage fits
- Every customer and supplier sends in their own way, and none of them will change it for you.
- What counts is the record in the ERP: an order on the books in Business Central, an invoice settled against its receipt.
- Your ERP is Exact, AFAS or Ridder iQ, or an on-premise system you will not open to the internet.
- You do not want to maintain a library of recipes, and would rather have engineers who learn your desk and build on it.

What an agent does on the order desk
A recipe runs the steps you designed for it. Here is what a Lleverage agent takes off the desk.

- 01
Reads the order in whatever shape it arrives
A scan with a signature in the corner, a customer's own sheet with two merged header rows, three lines in an email. A layout nobody has seen before is still read, including the sheet a customer redesigned last week.
- 02
Matches the supplier invoice to the receipt
The amount, the quantity and the cost centre, checked against the order your buyer raised and the receipt your warehouse booked. Finance sees the lines that disagree, and releasing a payment stays with a person.
- 03
Holds back what it is unsure of
Each field it reads carries its own score. Below the line you set, the work waits with everything already gathered, and the person who decides starts from there.
- 04
Keeps what your team corrects
A customer's wording for an article, last month's exception, the price that follows a contract. Corrections become knowledge your company owns and can export.
- 05
Works inside the ERP you already run
It works through the interfaces your ERP already exposes and fills the fields your team fills, so your own validations and permissions still apply. Nothing is migrated out of it, and no second copy is kept somewhere else to go stale.
- 06
Runs through the night and the weekend
Orders and invoices land at all hours, including the ones sent long after your desk has gone home. They are handled as they come in, so Monday does not open on a backlog from Friday evening.
From the teams running it
“We had four and a half people · about 3.8 full-time equivalents · sitting there all day long, manually entering every single order into our Business Central ERP.”

“We’re constantly looking for ways to ensure we can last another 100 years and further improve our service and quality.”
MartKoninklijke Dekker
“90% of things are correct within a result. It feels a bit negative to give it a thumbs down.”

Workato vs Lleverage: questions
What is the difference between Workato and Lleverage?
Workato is an enterprise platform for connecting applications and data and orchestrating workflows and agents, which your own teams build on. Lleverage gives the back office of a manufacturer or wholesaler AI agents that read customer orders and supplier invoices and do the work inside the ERP, delivered by our engineers.
Can Workato turn an emailed purchase order into a sales order?
IDP by Workato pulls purchase order data out of a file so a sales team can map it into NetSuite without typing it again. Checking the customer, the article, the contract price and the stock, then writing the order, are steps you design in a recipe. A Lleverage agent runs those checks and writes the order itself.
Does Workato read invoices in Dutch or German?
IDP by Workato covers invoices and receipts in English, Chinese, Japanese and Korean. Its AI by Workato connector translates or parses text in a language you pick, so a Dutch invoice becomes a recipe your team builds. A Lleverage agent reads each document in the sender's own layout, and at Xpol it processes orders for French, Swiss and Dutch retailers.
Can we run Workato and Lleverage next to each other?
Yes. The recipes you run today can stay exactly where they are, and nothing is migrated out of your ERP. We think Workato is the right tool for moving structured records between applications, while documents, judgement calls and the writing into the ERP are better left to an agent.
Who builds it, and who keeps it running?
Workato is built and maintained by your own IT and business teams in its recipe editor. Lleverage sends forward deployed engineers who build the first queue beside your team, connect the ERP during delivery and set the confidence line with you, so your team sees the first queue running on real documents.
