AI agents for Business Central, online, on-prem or Navision

Lleverage brings AI to Business Central as one agent per job: sales orders from the order inbox, purchase invoices matched to the posted receipt, customers, vendors and items kept in step. Each agent fills the fields your team fills, so Business Central checks them the same way. Anything outside your rules goes to a person.

What you get

Online, on your own servers or Navision

Microsoft’s Copilot runs on Business Central online only. The agent works with the Business Central or Navision you run today, so nothing waits for an upgrade.

Already running on Business Central desks

At Topa Bathroom Products over 90% of incoming orders go into Business Central without manual input, and customers can have the confirmation within 30 seconds.

Priced per agent, not per credit

One monthly price per agent, with integration and AI usage within fair use. No seats, and no meter that stops the work when a quota runs out.

What the agent reads and writes in Business Central

The agent works in the same sales documents, purchase documents and cards your team opens every day, with the access a person on that desk has.

Sales ordersCreated for the right customer, with each line tied to an item or the customer’s own item reference, after price, stock and credit are checked.
Purchase invoicesLined up with the purchase order and the posted receipt. Those inside your tolerances are posted, the rest stay unposted for finance.
Customer, vendor and item cardsCompared with every system that holds a copy. A vendor bank account or a credit limit is never changed without its owner.

Outlook, Teams and SharePoint around Business Central

Most Business Central work starts in Microsoft 365: an order in a shared mailbox, a question in Teams, a manual on SharePoint. The agent works there too.

The shared order inboxAt Topa the agent watches the order inbox all day and labels every email it has handled as AI Processed in Outlook.
Approvals in Teams or SlackAn invoice with a variance or an order outside your rules reaches the person who owns it, with the documents attached.

On-prem Business Central, Navision and screens with no API

Plenty of companies still run Business Central on their own servers or an older Navision. Our engineers connect those during delivery, instead of asking you to move first.

How can AI be used in Business Central?

One AI agent per job, each working on the Business Central documents that job touches. Every card opens that job, start to finish, and the order card shows it running on Business Central.

Copilot in Business Central or a Lleverage agent: which fits when?

Microsoft builds its own AI into Business Central: Copilot as an assistant, and agents such as the Sales Order Agent and the Payables Agent. We read Microsoft Learn’s pages on AI in Business Central, the Copilot FAQ, agent billing and agent design on 6 October 2026, and the middle column comes from those pages.

Copilot and agents (Microsoft)Lleverage
What it isCopilot is an assistant for chat, analysis of lists, summaries, autofill and sales line suggestions. Agents are autonomous workers: the Sales Order Agent, the Payables Agent and the Expense Agent, which is in preview. One AI agent per job, such as order entry or invoice matching. It does the whole job as the work arrives and hands a person only what falls outside your rules.
Who starts the workWith Copilot, you start the action and Copilot suggests. The Sales Order Agent and the Payables Agent watch a mailbox and pick up emails on their own.The work itself: an email lands, a file drops, a record changes. The queue is handled overnight and at weekends too.
A customer order, for exampleThe Sales Order Agent finds the contact in Business Central and generates a quote for you to review and send. When the contact confirms, it converts the quote into an order. The agent reads the order, checks items, prices, stock and credit, and creates the sales order. At Topa customers can have the confirmation within 30 seconds.
Where it runsCopilot is exclusive to Business Central online. Microsoft says it is not available on-premises or in a private cloud.Business Central online, on your own servers or Navision, reached without opening them to the internet.
Systems outside Business CentralCopilot features inside Business Central are unaware of your Microsoft 365 data. The Finance solution in Microsoft Copilot works the other way, from the Microsoft 365 apps.Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Slack, Gmail, Salesforce, HubSpot and Zendesk, plus the supplier portal with a login and the nightly CSV.
CostStronger here for Copilot: it is included in the Business Central licence at no extra cost. The agents use Copilot Credits, for example 50 per invoice plus 5 per line for the Payables Agent, and stop when the quota runs out.One monthly price per agent, with integration and AI usage within fair use. No seats and no usage bills.
Setting it upStronger here: built in, turned on from the Copilot & agent capabilities page, with no integration project.Forward deployed engineers build the first agent with your team. The first process typically runs supervised within a few weeks.
Building your ownAgent design is in preview and runs in sandbox environments only. The Agent SDK for AL reaches production environments from version 28.1, and copilots can be connected through Copilot Studio. Our engineers build the first agent with your team, or your own team builds on the same platform.
Fits best whenYou run Business Central online, people want help inside the pages they already use, and short email orders or PDF invoices are worth a review each. You run on-prem or Navision, the work starts in spreadsheets, long PDFs or other systems, or the volume outgrows one review per document.

We think Copilot is worth switching on first if you are on Business Central online: it is in the licence, and chat, summaries and autofill save time from day one. We think Lleverage fits when a whole job should leave the desk, or when your Business Central runs on your own servers. How invoices fit in is in our post on invoice automation in Business Central.

Our engineers set it up with you.

Forward deployed engineers connect the agent to Business Central with your team and work alongside your people, so work comes off the desk in the first weeks rather than at the end of a project.

The FDE model Forward deployed engineers, with you for the first queue and for every one after.

They work inside your operation. They build the first queue with your team, set the confidence line together, and stay on as your business changes and the next queues come. Not a licence and a manual. A team that knows your floor.

Frequently asked questions

Does Business Central have its own AI agents?

Yes. Microsoft ships the Sales Order Agent and the Payables Agent, has the Expense Agent in preview, and lets you design your own agents in a sandbox, also in preview. They are billed in Copilot Credits (Microsoft Learn, read 6 October 2026). How we compare with Microsoft’s wider agent tooling is in Copilot Studio vs Lleverage.

Is Copilot in Business Central free?

Microsoft says Copilot is included in the Business Central licence at no extra cost, though fair use policies or pricing might come later. The agents are different: they use Copilot Credits per action, and stop when the quota runs out. Lleverage is one monthly price per agent, with integration and AI usage within fair use.

Does AI work with Navision or Business Central on-premises?

Microsoft’s Copilot does not: it is exclusive to Business Central online. Lleverage connects to Business Central online, to installations on your own servers and to Navision, without opening them to the internet. Where an older Navision version has no API, the agent works the screen with the access a person has.

How does Lleverage connect to Business Central?

Through the Business Central API, with the access a person on that desk has and nothing beyond it, so Business Central validates every field as it does for your team. Nothing is copied into a second database. See it creating sales orders on our Business Central order page.

Who approves what the agent does in Business Central?

You do. Every check has a setting: inside your rules the agent finishes the job, outside them a person decides. Topa lets most orders go straight in, Xpol has a person sign off every draft, and the difference is a setting. Every action is logged. More on control and approvals.

The rest of the platform.
